The Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems Laboratory (ReSEL), School of Environmental Engineering (www.resel.tuc.gr) covers a wide range of knowledge subjects in the fields of Applied Research and Technology Development for Energy Planning and Sustainable Energy Management.ReSEL expertise focuses on Sustainable Energy Systems-Policy and Planning; Renewable Energy and Energy Saving Systems; Sustainable Cities and Communities mostly on Mediterranean insular cases.

ABO Wind AG

ABO Wind is a globally successful project developer for renewable energies with over550 employees. Since 1996, the company has connected around 700 wind energy, solar and biogas plants with an output of 2,400 megawatts to the grid.

We are currently working on the development of new projects with a total capacity of ten gigawatts. These projects are located in 16 countries on four continents and exceed the capacity of four average nuclear power plants. Two thirds of the projects under development are wind projects and one third are solar Projects.

Hellenic Mediterranean University - Department of Mechanical Engineering

Hellenic Mediterranean University is located in Crete and consists of 5 Schools with 11 currently operating Departments. The Mechanical Engineering Department participates in the European Commission's Secretariat as Associated Partner, aiming to provide consulting and technical support and advice for the insular communities which wish to make their step towards their energy transition.

Climate Alliance

Through the Climate Alliance, more than 1,700 member municipalities and districts covering 26 European countries as well as a variety of regional governments, NGOs and other organisations are actively working to combat climate change. In terms of members, Climate Alliance is the largest European city network dedicated to climate action. Our members, ranging from small rural towns to cities with populations in the millions, who all accept climate change as a global challenge that requires local solutions.
