Overview
In Italy, training programmes that focus on the RES sector and are promoted by the government, are developed at regional level. The PREPAC, launched in 2014, aims to make at least 3% of the administrative building stock more efficient per year. There are different obligations depending on the building type and size, and for public buildings the obligations are increased by 10%. Apart from that, there is the requirement that when renewing used vehicles, at least 50 % of road transport vehicles bought or rented by public administrations should be electric, hybrid or hydrogen powered.
After having installed a plant on any building, it is required by law to release a certificate of compliance with a set of standards outlined in DM 37/08. Finally, tax discounts are applied on RD&D initiatives.
