Overview
The German law has defined several regulations that support and fosters energy communities. Energy communities receive the privileges of renewable energies in terms of grid access and support schemes. Tenants can benefit from the electricity surcharge. Energy communities, cooperatives and clusters building wind plants receive a higher premium. Prosumers are supported through tax benefits and feed-in tariffs.
