Overview
The German government has defined national targets for energy efficiency in the “Energieeffizienzstrategie 2050”. In the year 2030, the primary energy consumption should be reduced by 30 % compared to levels in the year 2008. The National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency (NAPE 2.0) defines specific measures. Amongst, tax subsidies for renovations, federal support instruments and low interest loans should incentivize citizens and the economy to become more energy efficient.
