The Virtual Island Summit 2021

The Virtual Island Summit 2021, organised by Island Innovation, is an online event that aims to provide the same opportunities for the interaction with participants and speaker as an offline conference.

The Summit will cover all 17 of the UN SDGsa in addition to other topics pertinent to island communities. To enable a broad range of vewpoints, speakers and attendees from 100+ island communities including the Arctic, Caribbean, Europe, Indian Ocean, Pacific Islands, South America and beyond will be present at the event. 

World Sustainable Energy Days 2021

The World Sustainable Energy Days 2021 are a three day hybrid (online and offline) event comprised of various conferences on a variety of different topics. 

On-site conference days will take place from 22 - 24 June in Wels, Austria while they can also be attended online. The conferences that are featured in the World Sustainable Energy Days 2021 are: European Pellet Conference, Energy Efficiency Conference, Young Energy Researchers, Energy Efficiency Policy, Innovation Workshops, Industrial Energy Efficiency, Smart E-Mobility.

Clean energy for EU islands Energy Academy

On June 14, the Clean energy for EU islands secretariat organises its first Energy Academy focusing on the island of Cyprus.
This first session will offer the opportunity to familiarise with phase II of the secretariat, discuss the national policy framework for energy transition, and get inspired by other energy projects on the island. The workshop will be an opportunity for participants to meet like-minded islanders and stakeholders of the clean energy transition, and have strategic discussions on how to advance the clean energy transition of Cyprus.
