Subsidy (MOVES II Programme)

  2. Description of support scheme

    The MOVES II Programme is a support policy that allocate financial aid (direct grants) for efficient and sustainable mobility, for example, for the purchase of EVs (cars, buses, vans, quadricycles, motorcycles).
    Once each Autonomous Community opens the call for application, the Programme will run for one year (article 13, RD 569/2020).

  3. Amount

    The budget allocation amounts to 100,000,000 Euros. It is co-financed by the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF).
    The amount of the grants vary according to the vehicle category and a table with different values is included in Annex III of RD 569/2020. The grants range from 600 Euros for electric quadricycles to 15,000 Euros for the purchase of electric trucks and buses.

  4. Addressees

    The eligible parties are: individual and self-employed persons, communities of owners, legal entities, local entities and institutional public sector (article 2, RD 569/2020)

  5. Procedure

    The Central Government (National level, through IDAE) will transfer to the Autonomous Communities the funds, and the Communities will then organize the allocation of the direct grants to the final users (article 6, RD 569/2020). Autonomous Communities will grant the aid directly and this shall be processed on a competitive basis.
    Once the Autonomous Community approves the call, applications can be submitted until one year after the date of publication of the extract of the corresponding calls for applications in the corresponding official gazette.
