Description of support scheme

The SEPP-scheme offers subsidies to private persons for electric passenger cars. The scheme is currently running from 2020 until 2025. Per year, the budget is set at 14.4 million euros for new electric passenger cars, and at 13.5 million euros for used electric passenger cars. Both those who own and lease are eligible for this subsidy. The application for the subsidy must be in the same year as the client buys or leases the vehicle.

Amount

For a new electric passenger car, whether owned or leased, the subsidy is 4000 euros. For a used electric passenger car, whether owned or leased, the subsidy is 2000 euros.

Addressees

Private persons buying or leasing electric passenger cars.

Procedure

To apply for the subsidy, the sale or lease agreement must already be signed. If this is the case, then the application can be sent in via the online portal where they will be reviewed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency
