Electricity production license process

Abbreviated form of legal source

Applying for a Licence to Generate Electricity

Description of the process

CRU issues the Licence to Generate Electricity for onshore wind and ground-mounted PV. The license is issued at the end of project realisation, after the Authorisation to Construct or Reconstruct a Generating Station. A single application for both licenses is also possible.
Firstly, a pre-application meeting with CRU for information purposes is advisable. After the application submission CRU monitors its completeness. The application includes specific documents such as the application form, the proof that application fee was paid, financial information, site location, planning information, connection agreement and technical information (Appendix I Applying for a Licence to Generate Electricity). If complete, CRU issues the license.
