RD&D Policies (Programme d'investissements d'avenir)

Summary

With 20 billion euros over 4 years (2018-2022), the 4th programme of Investments for the Future (PIA4) is aimed at guaranteeing that France maintains its independence, competitiveness and therefore its jobs, and it will allow the ecological transition to continue.
To achieve this, it will mobilise 11 billion euros until 2022 to accompany the France Relance recovery plan. PIA 4 has set a target of at least one third of investments in favour of the ecological transition: a large part of the programme's new priority innovation strategies will be dedicated to the ecological transition (transforming agricultural equipment, decarbonising industry or accompanying the transformation of cities, etc.).
As an operator of the Programme d'investissements d'avenir (PIA), the French Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME) supports and finances innovations designed to accelerate the energy and environmental transition (energy, transport, industry, agriculture, water, biodiversity, etc.).
