Certification Programmes for RES installations (NF414)

The primary French certification organization, AFNOR (Association Française de Normalisation), issues the NF414 certification mark for heat pumps, guaranteeing that they meet French and European standards as well as the NF414 Committee's technical and energetic performance requirements. Upon acceptance of their application, the maker of the installations (the labels covers the different technologies of aerothermal heat pumps and geothermal heat pumps with a heating capacity of up to 100 kW (with the exception of air/water absorption heat pumps up to 140 kW) is given the label.

Summary

The French certification organisation (AFNOR) is the main reference. The Certita association is in charge of application management.
