Certification Programmes for RES installations (Flamme verte)

Summary

The designation Flamme Verte was created in 2000 by the French energy agency ADEME in collaboration with wood heating industry professionals to certify high-quality products such as wood-burning fireplace inserts, stoves, and boilers. Manufacturers that signed the Flamme Verte quality charter pledge to develop products that satisfy stringent security, pollution, and energy efficiency standards. Certita, a certification organization, oversees the quality assurance procedures.

Addressees

The French Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME) is the main reference. The Certita association is in charge of application management.
