Training programmes for Installers of RES (RES installer educator certificate)

Abbreviated form of legal source(s)

  • Act 38/2015

Summary

The Act 38/2015 sets out the legal framework for training RES installers and their educators. The RES installation training is a voluntary, supplementary vocational training for the persons installing the following RES technologies: biomass, ambient heat, solar installations for electricity and heat production, and small geothermal installations (arts 1-2, 38/2015). The Energy Authority is in charge of monitoring the implementation of the Act 38/2015, including certifying the educators (art 3).
There are no legal requirements for entering the certification training, but the certification course instructors have to be approved by the Energy Authority (art 4 Act 38/2015).
No additional information is given in the relevant legal source. The Motiva website states that the certification price is currently EUR 310 regardless of the chosen RES technology. The course takes approximately 3 working days.
