Summary

The Republic of Croatia provides a framework for the training and certification programme for construction workers who install building parts affecting energy efficiency in the buildings sector.
The certification programme is carried out by public learning institutions, and other organisations that received approval of the ministry competent for construction (currently the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets). Approvals are issued based on the ministry’s open call for issuing an approval for conducting the training programme for construction workers who install building parts affecting energy efficiency in the buildings sector.
The competent ministry must also keep a: registry of certified construction workers who install building parts affecting energy efficiency in the buildings sector, and a registry of conductors of training programmes for certifying construction workers who install building parts affecting energy efficiency in the buildings sector.

Addressees

Eligible for attending the training programme are persons who have obtained:
at least a three year vocational education in the field of construction with specialization in masonry, carpentry, plastering, painting, roofing, dry construction installing, with at least 6 months of relevant work experience; at least a three year vocational education in the field of construction with a specialization other than those mentioned in the previous point, with at least 6 months of relevant work experience; at least an elementary school education with at least 6 months of relevant work experience.
