Tilos

Tilos is a Greek island located in the South Aegean Sea. It belongs to the complex of the Dodecanese Islands. There are around 500 permanent residents on Tilos, which is increased by 4 to 5 times during the summer. The island's main economic field is tourism.How does the island cover its need for energy? The island covers large shares of its electricity needs through local renewable energy systems power generation, a hybrid wind-PV battery station of 1 MW. It is interconnected with the island systems of Kos and Kalymnos.

Syros

Syros is a Greek island in the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea.

Syros municipality has been proactive in preparation of mandatory Electric Vehicle Charging Plan in coordination with distribution system operator, HEDNO. The plan has been adopted and it foresees thirty four charging locations on the island. Based on the previously analysed implementation approaches, the municipality has been considering partner collaboration through joint-venture or concession approach.

Saint Martin

Saint-Martin is located in the French Antilles. The island is divided into a French part and a Dutch one.
The population of the French part is about 36,000. An increase is observed during the tourist season between November and April.
The main economic activity of the island is based on tourism.

Power supply

Electricity to Saint Martin is provided by a fuel power plant. Renewable energy is not used on the island, except for very few solar panels. Our project of Waste-to-Energy (PI project) will produce about 8% of the total energy consumption.
