Energy Pool builds and operates demand-side management solutions. At the centre of the smart grid revolution, Energy Pool manages and optimises the energy consumption of complex systems (industrial sites, distributed generation, renewable energy, storage assets, etc.) for a smarter and more sustainable energy management.These flexibilities enable the easy integration of renewable energies, help reduce CO2 emissions and allow to achieve substantial savings.Energy Pool has been one of the pioneers in the French flexibility market since 2009 and now has more than 100 employees.

This is the French version of the Clean energy for EU islands Pledge that islands can sign to become part of the initiative. 

Saint-Martin is located in the French Antilles. The island is divided into a French part and a Dutch one.
The population of the French part is about 36,000. An increase is observed during the tourist season between November and April.
The main economic activity of the island is based on tourism.

Power supply

Electricity to Saint Martin is provided by a fuel power plant. Renewable energy is not used on the island, except for very few solar panels. Our project of Waste-to-Energy (PI project) will produce about 8% of the total energy consumption.

Airborne Wind Europe encourages high-level discussions on generation of energy from high-altitude winds by means of kite energy systems, wind drones and other airborne wind energy systems and encourages research, innovation and exchange of technical information among entrepreneurs, suppliers, utilities, developers,  energy consumers, equipment manufacturers, financial institutions and universities.

ACIF-CCIM is a private and non-profit multisectoral business association and also the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madeira, founded in 1836.It has about 800 members mostly SME.
