A recent workshop (19 March 2024, Gotland / Sweden) jointly organised by the Stockholm Environment Institute and the Samsø Energy Academy delved into crucial strategies for effective communication and stakeholder engagement concerning energy and sustainability. Hosted under the guidance of Clean energy for EU islands secretariat, the workshop garnered insights aimed at advancing clean energy transitions across European islands under the 30 for 2030 call.The workshop, titled "Strategies for Effective Communication and Stakeholder Engagement on Energy and Sustainability,"

The Balearic Islands will hold a citizens' assembly on climate this year to debate the impact of the climate crisis, promote citizen participation in the political process and find joint solutions to the consequences of climate change in the archipelago.

LocalRES is an EU-funded project that will deploy innovative local energy systems to put renewable energy into the hands of communities and people. The project will boost structural changes in the current energy system at different levels: generation, market, distribution and consumers.

Carbery Housing Association is a community based social housing developer and provider, approved by the Department of Housing. CHA purchases and leases properties to provide long term housing for rent for families who cannot afford to rent of buy on the open market. We secure local authority support and loan funding to develop these initiatives. We at present have 20 properties which are being rented to families nominated by the local Councils.

The usual technical assistance and support schemes often take the capacity of a community to stay informed and eventually access such instruments for granted. Resources in the form of small grants for early stage organisation, preparations and planning are very scarce and as a result small islands are left behind.

Due to the current health and travel situation, this year's edition of the Clean Energy for EU Islands Forum will be held online.

The programme will focus on creating stronger links between the EU institutions and the local actions on the island. Representatives from different institutions will introduce their role in creating the enabling framework for the decarbonisation of EU islands, and island communities will present and discuss their activities with peers and EU representatives. 

Het PBL heeft een voorlopig tarief berekend voor de opvolger van de postcoderoosregeling (PCR). Namens de leden heeft Energie Samen een reactie op het conceptadvies ingestuurd. Onze conclusie: als dit concept-tarief wordt overgenomen, wordt het rendement voor onze leden te laag om PCR-projecten aan particulieren aan te kunnen bieden.

New Energy Coalition is a network and knowledge coalition that is committed to a smart and successful transition to the sustainable energy system of the future, in the Netherlands and the rest of the world. The foundation is a triple-helix organization funded by public and private parties as well as knowledge institutions. The organization was created in 2017 when three renowned energy institutes merged: Energy Academy Europe, Energy Valley and Energy Delta Institute. This created a comprehensive coalition of knowledge and educational institutions, leading companies and governments.

Op 15 juni opende staatssecretaris Stientje van Veldhoven (Infrastructuur en Waterstaat) in Culemborg het slimme laadplein van coöperatie Vrijstad Energie.

Vrijstad Energie heeft vorig jaar het eerste coöperatieve laadplein van Nederland gerealiseerd voor het opladen van stekkerauto’s met behulp van een zonnedak met 784 panelen. Dankzij een landelijke subsidie is de afgelopen maanden hard gewerkt aan realisatie van de volgende stap: lancering van een unieke app waarmee slim geladen kan worden.
