Overview
Italy presents overall savings in energy to be achieved under Article 7 of the the Energy Efficiency Directive of the European parliament with a cumulative amount of 50 977 ktoe for the 2021-2030 period, The National Energy and Climate Plan for the period 2021-2030 also deals with emissions. In this case, the target is a 33% reduction in greenhouse gases for all sectors not covered by the ETS. In order to achieve such goals, the National Energy Efficiency Fund was set up. It is a rotary incentive for Public Administration, ESCOs and businesses, created to mobilize private investment to implement energy efficiency measures on production plants, production processes and buildings.
Moreover, a Superbonus offers tax return on efficiency related expenditure during renovation, including the installation of solar panels.
Summary of measures
