National Board of Housing, Building and Planning Regulation 2015:4 - CIN 2
Summary
The certification of installers is accredited and meets the requirements of the EU renewable directive. Efficient energy use is an important piece of the puzzle in the transition to a sustainable energy system. The accredited certification is a requirement within the EU renewable directive and covers four technology areas:
- bioenergy (stoves and boilers)
- solar (solar cells)
- solar heat
- heat pumps
The certification has been approved by Swedac, the authority that has the government's mandate to be the Swedish accreditation body. The Board of Housing, Building and Planning is responsible for issuing rules and regulations. The Swedish Energy Agency is responsible for information and training.
To be certified, the installer must have the required work experience and undergo a special university of applied sciences education. After completing training, the installer can have his competence validated by passing a practical and a theoretical test. The installer then applies for a certificate from Incert. After approval from SWEDAC, INCERT has received accreditation for the certification of Installers for renewable energy. The certificate is valid for five years, after which re-training will be required.
