Description of support scheme
The PAREER II programme grants subsidies and soft loans for building renovation actions. The supported actions must improve the overall energy rating of the building by at least 1 letter measured on the carbon dioxide emission scale (kg CO2/m2 per year), compared to the initial energy rating of the building.
Amount
The amount of the subsidy depends on the action to undertake. For instance, a basic aid of 30% of costs can be granted to improve the energy efficiency of the thermal envelope of the building; or a basic aid of 20% can be granted for the improvement of the energy efficiency of heating and lighting installations. On top of the basic aid, there can be additional support up to 70% that will be decided according to the type of measure and based on different criteria. For instance, a social criterion is defined by IDAE as actions carried out in residential buildings that have been classified under a public protection regime by the competent body of the corresponding Autonomous Community.
The total budget of the programme is 204,000,000 EUR.
Addressees
The beneficiaries can be among others owners of existing buildings and owners' associations or groups of owners' associations of residential buildings for residential use, constituted as Horizontal Property(article 8, Resolution of 14 December 2017 IDAE).
Procedure
By online means in the IDAE website. Once the interested party submits its application, the IDAE will award the grant to those that meet each and every one of the requirements of the programme, considering the order of the date of submission of the applications, until the available budget is exhausted.
