Description of support scheme

Entrepreneurs and non-profit institutions buying or financially leasing a new, completely emission-free company car (i.e., electric car) can apply for the Subsidy Scheme for Emission-free Commercial Vehicles (SEBA).
The subsidy scheme runs from 15 March 2021 to 31 December 2025.

Amount

The amount of the subsidy differs according to the type of the vehicle:
• Vehicle category N1: the subsidy is 10% of the net list price (excluding VAT, including tax on passenger cars and motorcycles) up to a maximum of € 5,000 for each company car. List price is an official new price of the company car.
• Vehicle category N2 (maximum weight up to 4,250 kg): The subsidy is 10% of the sales price without VAT as stated in the purchase agreement, with a maximum of € 5,000 for each company car.
The budget for 2021 is €22 million.

Commercial organisations and non-profit institutions purchasing new electric vehicles.

Procedure

The purchase or financial lease agreement may not be finalised before applying for the subsidy.
The purchased vehicle has to be registered in the name of the subsidy recipient for 3 years without interruption.

Eligible are:
• new completely emission-free commercial vehicles that only drive with an electric motor and
• falling under the vehicle classifications N1 or N2 up to a maximum weight of 4,250 kg.
• The net list price for a vehicle category N1 or the sales price without VAT for a vehicle category N2, of the company cars must be € 20,000 or higher.
