Promotion of Renewable Energy Sources in the Domestic Sector – Grant Scheme 2021/RES

Description of support scheme

The subsidy is given for an installation of new PV system with an inverter and battery storage facilities. The amount of the support depends on the facilities.
Applications for this call may be validly received as from the 26 February 2021, until the end of 2021.
Applicants who have received a grant for a similar system since 2010 shall not be eligible for another grant issued in terms of this scheme.

Amount

These are the following options for the scheme:
• Option A – PV system with standard solar inverter: 50% of eligible costs up to a maximum of 2,500 euro per system and 625 euro/kWp.
• Option B – PV system with hybrid inverter: 50% of eligible costs up to a maximum of 3,000 euro per system and 750 euro/kWp.
Other two options concern hybrid/battery inverter and battery storage.
The applicant, when applying for Option B, may combine it with “Option D” – as subsidy for battery storage, where 80% of eligible costs of the storage up to a maximum of 3,600 euro per system and 600 euro/kWh are available.

Addressees

This particular scheme is open only to private individuals (natural persons) for use on their residential properties, and for organisations that are not carrying out an economic activity other than the generation of electrical energy from photovoltaic systems for use on communal residences.

Procedure

The application form is divided in two parts. Applicants must complete Part A of the application with their personal details. Part A must be completed and submitted to the REWS prior to the purchase and installation of the equipment. Part is B to be completed after the installation and commissioning has concluded.
