Subsidy (Electric Vehicle Grant Scheme)

  1. Description of support scheme

    EV Grant Scheme provides grants for the purchase of private and commercial EVs.

  2. Amount

    The amount of support varies.
    For private EVs the maximum amount for support for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) is defined at EUR 5,000. For Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) the maximum amount of support from 1 July 2021 is EUR 2,500. It should be noted that no support is given for all EV’s with a price less than EUR 14,000.
    For commercial EVs (Category N1- Vehicles for the carriage of goods and having a maximum mass not exceeding 3.5 tonnes) the maximum amount is set at EUR 3,800. It should be noted that no support is given for all EV’s with a price less than EUR 14,000.

    Individuals, businesses and public entities.

  4. Procedure

    Interested applicants purchase the EV. The car dealer applies for the grant and if successful, the grant amount is deducted from the agreed price.
