The German Government subsidises the construction and connection to the grid of charging facilities for electric vehicles. 80 % of the costs are funded: for the connection to low current, up to EUR 10,000 and to medium power up to EUR 100,000 are possible. For the construction of a normal charging station EUR 4,000 and for fast charging stations up to EUR 16,000 are funded. For entities, companies or individuals planning the construction of a charging station in Germany, that is permanently publicly accessible. However, reduced funding can also be granted if it is at least accessible on workdays for minimum 12 hours.
