Summary
Companies that are not SMEs are obliged to perform an energy audit every 4 years. Energy audits must comply with the requirements defined in the DIN EN 16247-1 EDL-G 2020. They measure and analyse the energy use, and provide an overall picture of the energy efficiency of the company. The BAFA publishes a list of persons eligible for performing energy audits.
