Requirements and conditions  

Energy sharing (autoconsommation collective) is defined as a collective supply of electricity carried out between one or more producers and one or more final consumers linked together within a legal person. They may be connected to the low-voltage (LV) or medium-voltage (MV) network. Producers and consumers are located either in the same building or at a maximum distance of 2 km from each other.

Tariff structure

In case the energy sharing operation intends to sell energy or surplus energy, it is necessary to find a buyer who will conclude an electricity purchase contract. Energy sharing operations can benefit from the purchase obligation (obligation d’achat) - whose tariff is regulated by the arrêté tarifaire du 9 mai 2017 - or choose to sell their excess electricity at the energy market. ENEDIS will also buy the surplus energy production is the installation has a capacity of max. 3 kW.

Geographical limitations

Producers and consumers are located either in the same building or at a maximum distance of 2 km from each other.

Financial support

The feed-in tariff from EDF OA (EDF Obligation d'Achat) is guaranteed for 20 years: since 2017, it is €0.10/kWh for an installation of less than 9 kWp and €0.06/kWh for an installation between 9 kWp and 100 kWp.
