● Support Scheme for Solar Water Heaters 2021

Under the Support Scheme for Solar Water Heaters 2021, the purchase and installation of new solar water heaters as well as the replacement of existing ones in the domestic sector is supported. The current 2021 call is open for 1,000 applications until 01 September 2021.

For solar water heater replacement: EUR 350
For replacement of solar collectors: EUR 175 (Chapter 8 Support Scheme for Solar Water Heaters 2021).
For mountainous areas the level of support is doubled (Chapter 9 Support Scheme for Solar Water Heaters 2021).

Natural persons located in Cyprus are eligible for support. With regard to buildings, their owners i.e., applicants should have issued a construction license prior to 01 January 2007 (Chapter 7 Support Scheme for Solar Water Heaters 2021). Support is granted exclusively for equipment that has been purchased and installed after the date of announcement of the Support Scheme, i.e., after 14 April 2021.

Interested applicants should have already purchased and installed the solar water heater. Then, they submit an application electronically to the RESEC Fund. If approved, they applicant submits all necessary documents and the subsidy is paid off (Chapter 5 Support Scheme for Solar Water Heaters 2021).
