Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund

The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund was established under the provisions of Article 60, paragraph 5, of the Environmental Protection Act (OG 82/94 and 128/99) and Article 11 of the Energy Act (OG 68/01). The Act on the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund was published in the Official Gazette No. 107/03), and it is applied as of 1 January 2004. 

Small Islands Organisation

The NGO Small Islands Organisation (SMILO) supports small islands of less than 150km² towards the sustainable management of their territory and resources. It bolsters integrated operations for the preservation of islands’ natural resources, in relation to water and sanitation, waste, energy, biodiversity, landscapes and heritage issues. The Sustainable Island label rewards the positive local dynamics and sustainable practices. Currently, 18 islands are involved in the labelling process.

REScoop.eu

Through REScoop.eu, we wish to make our voices heard in the European energy debate. Citizens after all are the ones who will be paying for the transition to a more sustainable energy system. REScoop.eu empowers them and wants to achieve energy democracy. Our federation has four well-defined objectives:

Korčula

The island of Korčula is located in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, which is the southernmost county in Croatia. It stretches in the east-west direction, with its length of 46.8 km, a width of 5.3 to 7.8 km has an area of ​​279.03 km2 and is the sixth-largest island in Croatia.The island was once a Greek colony called Korkyra Melaina or Black Korcula because of the lush vegetation which adorns the island. The island population is turning to a new future, bright and green.

Hvar

Hvar, with a length of 68.2 km, is the longest island in the Adriatic Sea. It belongs to the group of central Dalmatian islands, and with an area of ​​299.6 km2 (314 km2 with associated islands), it is the fourth largest island in the Adriatic. The highest peak on the island is Sv. Nikola, with a height of 628 m, is the third peak of the Adriatic islands. The western part of the island, with a maximum width of 10.5 km, is much more massive and wider than its eastern part.Hvar is part of Split-Dalmatia County (Republic of Croatia) and has a population of 10,769.
