CETA: Technical Assistance for Ceantar na nOileán

The island Ceantar na nOileán applied for technical assistance under the Clean Energy Transition for Ceantar na nOileán project. The Island Clean Energy Transition Agenda, developed by the local community, outlines a shared vision for the island's clean energy transition. A draft of Part I of the agenda has been created, and a public meeting was held to discuss the development of the agenda, with insights shared from the Danish island of Samsø.

Clean Energy Transition Agenda: Favignana

In this report, the completed first part of the CETA is first provided in the original Italian language in which it was written. The material can be used as is in the CETA of the islands. It contains the description of the context of the islands, in terms of the geography, economy and demographics, followed by an assessment of the island's current energy system. Due to the high touristic flows, there is a large seasonal variation in the energy consumption, with the highest peaks in July and August.
