Video

Video file

In this video, Bonaire, part of the Dutch Caribbean, celebrates its selection as one of the "30 for 2030" islands — a recognition of its commitment to achieving 100% renewable energy by 2030. Bonaire faces unique challenges as a small, isolated island, from the need for specialised technical expertise to significant financial investments. Through partnerships with Contour Global Bonaire, the public entity Bonaire, and collaboration with its sister islands Saba and St. Eustatius, Bonaire aims to overcome these hurdles.

The video highlights how the support from the European Commission and the technical guidance from the Island Trajectory will accelerate Bonaire's clean energy transition, serving as a model for other small-scale environments. It underscores the importance of strategic partnerships in achieving climate neutrality and showcases Bonaire's leadership in renewable energy. Together, the island envisions a 100% sustainable future.
