Join the Excitement: Capture the Essence of EU Islands this Summer!
We extended the deadline for this Call for Postcards to 30 July to give more participants the chance to take pictures during this summer month.
As the warm embrace of summer draws near and the weather provides plenty of opportunities for beautiful photographs, we invite you to participate in our highly anticipated fourth Call for Postcards. We want to see your captivating snapshots of EU islands with their unique clean energy generation! The Clean energy for EU islands secretariat is once again eagerly awaiting the submission of stunning photographs from across the European Union. Showcase your photography skills and make a lasting impression.
Calling all hobby photographers, island residents, island municipality members! It doesn't matter who you are; if you aspire to see your photograph transformed into a postcard, then consider it a heartfelt gift to the Clean energy for EU islands secretariat. Submit your masterpiece to info@euislands.eu.
To ensure fairness, we kindly request that previous participants of our other calls give an opportunity to new submissions and refrain from entering this call. Let's embrace fresh perspectives and welcome a wave of captivating imagery.
So, how does it all work? It's simple! Just fill out the provided form and send it, along with your picture and the necessary copyright consent form, to our designated email address. Please bear in mind that the postcard call will be assessed based on the following criteria:
- Uniqueness of Concept / Originality
- Creativity
- Overall Artistic Impression / Composition
- Visual Appeal
What motifs are eligible for submission, you ask? You photograph should, while showing the beauty of our captivating EU islands, keep in mind to also show their renewable energy ambitions! People can be part of your composition (with their consent of course!) too.
DEADLINE: 30 July 2023
The selected postcards will be showcased on our vibrant social media platforms and website and printed for distribution among our esteemed regional partners. Furthermore, they will be prominently displayed at next year's highly anticipated Clean energy for EU islands forum in 2024!
But the journey doesn't end there! Once the postcards are ready for download, you can personalise them by adding your island's unique story or a heartfelt message. This is your chance to raise awareness about your island's projects or aspirations and show the community what you're all about.
