With these Energy Academies, the secretariat team aims to help islanders to select, evaluate, execute, and communicate about energy transition projects.

The second Energy Academy on Spanish islands takes place in La Palma on March 31 and April 2,  focusing on the Canary Islands. Find more information here.

The aim of this first Energy Academy on the Balearic Islands is to present the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia (of the Spanish Government). It includes a specific line of financing for Spanish islands and the Investment Plan for the Energy Transition of the Balearic Islands (of the Government of the Balearic Islands) to the main stakeholders of the Balearic Islands.

The Energy Academy on the Balearic Islands also aimed to launch a working process to develop the Energy Transition and Climate Change Plan of the Balearic Islands, which will detail the main goals and actions for the next ten years. The members of both the Balearic Council for Climate and the Energy Council were invited to the workshop as key institutions of the governance process regarding climate change action. The Plan is expected to be approved this year or early next year (there are elections in May 2023).
