This report presents the results of the preconstruction long-term energy yield assessment of the Fejø wind farm, located on Fejøo island, in Denmark. In this report, a configuration refers to the combination of a wind farm layout and a wind turbine type (turbine model + hub height). A total of nine configurations is considered, comprising one to three turbines for a total installed capacity of 2 to 3 MW. For each configuration, the wind data has been processed, the wind flow modelled, and finally, the net energy production calculated.
Based on the results of the technical assessment, the Transition Team has selected five configurations to undergo financial analysis. The results of such analysis indicate that Fejø should prioritise the solution based on V52, 0.85 MW at 55 m, as it has proven to be the most economically viable option.
