The CULATRA2030 transition team takes the first steps in its environmental sustainability and energy transition with the project “Decarbonisation of Aquaculture Activity”, which equip the fishing sheds with solar panels, install a solar boat charging station at the fishing harbour and equip the Association and two residents with solar boats.

​​​​​​​On 13 and 14 February 2020, the EU Islands Secretariat, together with the University of the Algarve and Make it Better, organized a two-day workshop on the island of Culatra with a series of panel discussions, presentations and workshops.

Last week, the Clean Energy for EU Islands Secretariat visited the Faro region and pilot island Culatra to kick off the Secretariat's pilot island activities.
