The Clean energy for EU islands secretariat has concluded its Eighth Call for Postcards: Greetings from the Islands. The call once again invited inspiring visual stories from across Europe’s islands, highlighting landscapes, community life, and renewable‑energy aspirations.
We are pleased to announce that the winning postcards of this edition come from Leipsoi and Isola d’Elba. Their submissions captured the unique character of island life while reflecting the spirit of the clean energy transition. Tommaso Fissore captured the beautiful views of Portoferraio glancing down from Fort Falcone. ThinkPlus showcases the LED solar lighting that is used by the Island of Leipsoi to decrease energy demand and push for sustainability.
As with previous editions, the selected postcards will be featured on the Clean energy for EU islands website, social media channels, and at upcoming events, including the EU islands forum.
