Description of support scheme
This scheme provides financial assistance to individuals and organizations investing in solar water heating systems. The objective is to reduce reliance on conventional energy sources and promote sustainable energy practices within residential properties.
Amount
- Initial Grant: Beneficiaries are refunded 75% of the cost of the solar water heater, including VAT, capped at €1,400.
- Maintenance Grant: An additional €500 is provided after five years to cover maintenance costs, upon presentation of a receipt issued by the supplier.
Addressees
This scheme is funded through national funds and applies to private individuals (natural persons) for use in their residential properties, and for organisations that are not carrying out an economic activity.
Procedure
- Application Submission: Applicants must complete Part A of the application form with personal details and submit it to the Regulator for Energy and Water Services (REWS) before purchasing and installing the equipment.
- Installation and Documentation: After installation, Part B of the application, along with all required documentation, must be submitted to REWS.
- Grant Disbursement: Payments are processed upon receipt of a fully and correctly completed Part B application, including all necessary documents.
